The Latest

Trying to get my numbers up in my robot army.

Blue Bot

This blue guy came from a peach flan recipe, so he is Flan Bot.

White Bot

An Earl Grey Tea body and evaporated milk head, T.E.A. Bot.

Small Robot Head

Just a head for the moment, tuna fish can and Altoids lid. Don’t know if I want to eat that meal.

Brothers Dressler

I’m loving these wooden toys by Brothers Dressler. They call them Cutlets because the material comes from cast off material from other furniture projects. Do yourself a favor and check out their work.

Cardboard Tube Nunchucks

I have always wanted nunchucks (or nunchaku), but I would probably hurt myself seriously if I had the real deal. So I made some using paper towel tubes and some rubber coated caps. Not exactly a perfect example of green design, but it might come in handy for this.

Some pics below of the build process.

Abstract City

Tuesday, February 3rd, 2009

Christoph Niemann is an incredible illustrator who has a blog on the New York Times called Abstract City. Usually simple illustrations that just work so well at explaining what he happens to be talking about.

Yesterday’s entry makes me nostalgic for the city, and I live here.

Framed Legos

I framed some flat panel Legos, for a constantly changing piece of art. I originally wanted to use the classic large green panel (usually used as a yard). They’re harder to find than you’d think.

I think it would be cool if you had a whole wall covered in legos.
