I had my first TIG welding class last night. I think I’m in love.

I’ve been putting this little guy through its paces. Figured I’d go right to aluminum. So far so good.

Some turned walnut enclosures for a friend. There is a lot going on inside of these.

Some quick tool handles made from scrap oak. One for a lathe ram rod and the other for an auger. Should come in handy.

I’m thinking the combo of a slip ring and a caster swivel make for a great robot neck. More to come.

I recently finished this monster. Turned from a log that was originally about 20″ in diam. While it was drying out it cracked open one night (heart breaking at the time, but now I like it). The pop was so loud it woke me up.

Finished in Tung oil.

Made every kid in the family a robot rabbit this Christmas. Each kid got their favorite color. Each one sized according to age.

I turned some beer taps for my brother-in-law. One of walnut for dark beer, one of oak for a lighter, and one in colorply (remember this wonderful stuff) for a seasonal brew.

I used these great tap hardware sets from Rockler.

A simple CNC’d plywood hinged box. Donation boxes for the Red Burns Scholarship Fund actually. I wanted to make them with what we have access to on the floor, so CNC and laser were my prime candidates. Also, I probably needed to make a couple of them, so it made sense for duplication down the road.
