I’ve been working on some small fussy parts made out of Delrin and steel. It’s been fun to be so exacting with them.

A story on my work appears in the current issue of Popular Mechanics Russia. It is something really special to see your stuff in print.

The English translation is a little rough (I am a very cheerful person though), here it is.

Been fooling around with a linear motion prototype. The metal lathe makes life easy some times. Unfortunately, I had to kill a couple of c-clamps for the cause.

I know I’m late to the show here, but Delrin is a dream to work with. It mills beautifully. That is all.

I’ve been trying to curve small metal pieces without shelling out for a slip roll. CNC’d some male and female banks for the arbor press, and pressed some test pieces. The results were just meh.

There was some crimping that I’m not crazy about. Good in a pinch though. Maybe I’ll just break down a buy a roller.

I had my first TIG welding class last night. I think I’m in love.

Trying to get my chops back on the metal lathe. Simple turnings, facing, parting, drilling, and tapping.

I’m thinking the combo of a slip ring and a caster swivel make for a great robot neck. More to come.

Made every kid in the family a robot rabbit this Christmas. Each kid got their favorite color. Each one sized according to age.
