The New York Times did a great piece on the THREAT show. Going to be a fantastic show.

Swissmiss was so kind to blog about my Secret Passageway Switch (and Mobile Homes). Now I’m worried that the servers will crash. Thanks Tina.
Also, I should mention that the switches are now for sale. Please note, the installation instructions have not be finalized yet. If you buy the product you will not have the full instructions for a few weeks. I got to get on that.
House Beautiful online mentioned my house Christmas ornaments and took a really nice picture of them.

Core77 (one of my favorites) featured the Secret Passageway Switch. The switch was selected as a Notable in the first ever Core77 Design Awards.
What a thrill to be mentioned in one of the best design blogs out there. So cool.
The fine folks at the American Design Club pulled together a very comprehensive press release of the Use Me show. I get a bit of a thrill seeing the Secret Passageway Switch next to all of these amazing designs.
It is always a great surprise when you visit one of your favorite design blogs (one of my daily reads) and see your own work starring back at you. Cool Hunting, one of the first and one of the best, did a great round up of lighting they were digging at Design Week.
I’m honored to have the Bourbon Jar Lamps mentioned among these amazing designs:
- Esque and No.1 Son’s Afloat lamp
- Bocci’s 28 Series
- Matt Gagnon Prototype Lamps, I saw these guys while they were doing the live demo. Great lamps, nice guys.
- Lindsey Adelman Studio’s Burst, saw this one as well. Amazing work and Lindsey was very interesting and welcoming.
- Rich Brilliant Willing’s Delta IV
- UM Project’s L.U.M. Lamp
- Deger Cengiz’s Wooden LED Light
Make, one of my favorite magazines, is running a skill set on woodworking this month on their blog. I was lucky enough to be asked to contribute a piece. Of course, it was all about the lathe.
You can find the article here.
I got a nice mention in CasaSugar today. Guess I’m not the only one who wants their lamps to smell like bourbon.
Thanks for the ink Elka.
