It’s a pretty good day when you get to talk about a place you love on a site you love. Thanks Norm and Sean, I had a blast.
Matt Richardson and I worked together on a project called Duality for Intel and Mashable. Mashable paired creators, equipped them with Intel-powered devices and gave them 16 days to build something special. We created an internet-connected change dish.
The dish can alert users with a subtle signal that you can program with a reminder for when you’re on the way out the door or just coming home.
It was a quick deadline, but a great project to work on. Thanks Matt, Lauren, Tony, and the rest of the film crew.

Apartment Therapy ran another video, this one on applying a milk paint finish. I’m pretty new to milk paint, but it’s kind of hard to screw up. You paint it on, you sand it off. The trick is to keep working it till you get your desired finish.
Apartment Therapy ran a great video of one of my favorite finishes, tung oil and wax.
Apartment Therapy ran another how to video. This one is how to build a simple end table out of scrap wood.
Apartment Therapy ran a video of me changing out a typical lamp socket for one with a dimmer.
Trust me, these sockets make all the difference.

The amazing people at Apartment Therapy were kind enough to make a video about my work. They made me look much better than I actually am.
Thanks Rebecca and Sara.
I was invited to speak earlier this month at Apartment Therapy’s Design Evenings. Here is the footage. Thanks Maxwell and Ashley, I had a blast.
I’m very honored that my concept, Robot Ambulance, has been accepted into Make: Ultimate Maker Vehicle Challenge.
Robot Ambulance is a toy robot fabrication lab on wheels. The goal of the project is to drive to schools, Maker Faires, or birthday parties and get kids making. More project details here.
Voting started today to decide the winners of the contest. Judging is based on overall Design, unique Customizations, and Maker Spirit embedded within. Vote for as few or as many entries once per day as you wish.
Thanks to Matt Richardson for the video help and Michelle Temple for the photographs.
