Mobile Homes Packaging

Hot off the presses. For a short run of Mobile Homes I’m doing something a little special for the packaging. The layout of the mobile graphic will be unique for each package, the intention is to simulate movement of the mobile. I hope people who buy it will keep the label as a piece of generative art.

ITP Winter Show - Printing Code

The new packaging design I’ve been working on for Mobile Homes was on display at the ITP Winter Show, for the Printing Code class (taught by the talented Rune Madsen). The goal is to make the packaging something desirable, something you would want to hang on the wall after you open the box.

Each label is unique, the position and shape of the mobile is different for every package.

Mobile Homes Packaging Prototype

Been working on new packaging for Mobile Homes. Small box and a printed sleeve.

The plan is to make each label unique and something of a desirable piece. Something you’d want to hang on the wall.

The Drop

Thursday, October 1st, 2009

So I was hoping I’d be able to show off the Tagged Mobile Homes someday, I just didn’t know it would happen this quickly. The mobile will be showing at The Drop on Oct. 3rd to Oct 17th. It looks like it’s going to be a great time.

Again I want to thank everyone who helped with this one.

Design To Go

Saturday, August 15th, 2009

My piece, the Boids, will be for sale at the new pop-up store, Design To Go. The store is located in the Port Authority Bus Terminal at the corner of 8th avenue and 40th street (on the north west side). Items in the store relate to travel, souvenir, gift, NYC, Times Square, 8th Avenue, or bus travel . The shop opens on August 17th and will run to September 26th.

The New York Times and Time Out New York wrote about it! Awesome.

Boids

Is this yet another rubber origami bird mobile? Why yes, yes it is.

A mobile made up of the classic New York City fixture (nuisance), pigeons. The mobile is made up of five (or six haven’t decided yet) birds. The birds come in three fruit flavors: red, yellow, and blue.

Rubber Origami Mobiles

Thursday, May 7th, 2009

In the past, I’ve had a little success with origami and I’ve had a little success with mobiles, why not put them together?

After a little “you got your chocolate in my peanut butter, you got your peanut butter in my chocolate” design work, I came up with the Rubber Origami Mobile. Now for a limited time in red.

Mobile Homes in Red

Mobile Homes was accepted into the design show HUE ARE YOU?, curated by the American Design Club. The show opening will be held on Friday March 20th at The Future Perfect in Brooklyn and will run for the following six weeks.

There are so many incredible designers involved, I’m very excited to be a part of this.
