Bourbon Jar Lamps and Mallets

Design Week is still pretty much a blur, but it was fantastic. The Model Citizens show was fantastic. Not only was the Chelsea Art Museum one of the greatest spaces to show at, but it could hold over 90 amazing designers and artists. One of the best shows I’ve ever been a part of.

I just saw the space for the Use Me show at 45 Great Jones St. It is going to be fantastic. Do not miss this one.

A few weeks back the bourbon Jar Lamps were used as center pieces for an Hhighlands Dinner CLub dinner at Exit Art gallery. I unfortunately missed the dinner, but as far as I can tell from the pictures, the event looked fantastic.

And last but not least for Design Week, Break-Down: Design In Your Hands. “StyleFactory.com, Design Milk and Bobby Berk Home present an interactive design exhibition where you can make design happen, LIVE! Party-goers can influence the products that StyleFactory will produce by voting for their favorite design using social media and mobile devices.”

Next up for Design Week, Use Me. The American Design Club is holding its 6th show, “an exhibition by 45 young American designers of unapologetically functional objects, each of which exhibits a strong sense of purpose, intelligent use of materials, and the ability to do one thing extremely well.” The list of designers showing is pretty impressive, I’m honored to be among them.

I will be showing the Secret Passageway Switch, and it will be for sale.
