Made these guys a little while ago. I’ve been iterating on this robot rabbit form for a while now. I’m afraid there is more to come.

Bantam Tools posted a nice interview on my Magnetic Clock project and some other work I’ve been doing. Thanks for the press.

Raspberry Pi Blocks for Maker Faire

November 14th, 2017

The Raspberry Pi Foundation put together a video of the “blocks” I built for them for Maker Faire a few months ago.

The project was a lot of fun and everybody was a delight to work with. Thanks Matt for yet another great collaboration.

Robot Recipes: Iron Man

October 13th, 2017

Untitled

I can’t believe it took me this long to make an Iron Man Robot Recipe. Two cans, a few milled parts, and a nice powder coat paint job. I might make a couple more of these, probably put some lights inside.

Raspberry Pi Foundation’s Maker Faire “Blocks”

September 24th, 2017

Untitled

I made the “blocks” that the Raspberry Pi Foundation used for this year’s Maker Faire in New York. Sort of a retro science fair kind of vibe. I had major deja vu making these, as a kid I used to hammer nails into blocks and wire up simple circuits. I’ve come full circle.

Thanks for the project Matt.

I built a project for the newly rebranded Bantam Tools. The Magnet Clock is a kinetic sculpture built using magnets, a clock mechanism, and some milled parts.

Milled Brass Spring

June 16th, 2017

Untitled

I recently milled this (compression?) spring out of 20 gauge brass. It was basically an experiment, I have no real use for it. It works surprisingly well and has that old-timey clockwork look.

Jig for Glueing

May 5th, 2017

Untitled

I’ve done some scrap plywood glue ups in the past. And I’ve been happy with the results after they’ve been turned or milled. But glueing them at an angle has always a bit tricky. So I made a jig.

Untitled

All from scrap MDF, this guy lets me adjust the angel of the slant. I hope it helps me experiment a lot more with this technique.
